WhatsApp University Announces New Vice Chancellor, Faculty Remains Unverified
The appointment was confirmed via a forwarded voice note. No résumé was requested, and none was offered.

The new Vice Chancellor's inaugural address, delivered entirely as a 4-minute voice note.
The nation's most prolifically cited yet formally unaccredited institution, WhatsApp University, has announced a new Vice Chancellor, appointed via a forwarded voice note that has since itself been forwarded an estimated seven thousand times, occasionally with the caption 'IMPORTANT PLEASE READ.'
The appointment process, per University tradition, did not involve a résumé, an interview, or in fact any confirmation of the appointee's identity beyond a profile photo widely believed to be a stock image of a sunrise. "We go by conviction, not credentials," said an outgoing administrator, who could also not be independently verified.
The incoming Vice Chancellor used their inaugural address, also delivered via voice note, to outline an ambitious academic vision: expanded course offerings in Ancient Aviation Studies, a revised curriculum for Chronology Studies, and a new mandatory seminar titled 'How To Forward Without Reading First.'
Faculty appointments are expected to follow the same rigorous, entirely informal process. "If your uncle sends it, he's basically tenured," explained a University spokesperson, whose own credentials consist of a green checkmark emoji and unwavering confidence.
Enrollment, as always, remains open to literally everyone, immediately, with no application required beyond having a phone and at least one family group chat.
No résumé requested. No résumé offered. Just a voice note, forwarded seven times before breakfast.
